The Lord will Care for Judah
Introduction
In this session, we focus on Zechariah 10:1-7, exploring God’s prophetic promise of restoration, strength, and the gathering of Israel, replacing weak, false leadership with divine care. It emphasizes asking God for a blessing (rain), predicts the strengthening of Judah and Joseph, and promises to unite and rescue His people, transforming them into strong warriors. This prophetic message was written to a post-exilic community, offering hope and encouraging them to trust in God’s intervention rather than in false sources. God promised to restore them twice as much out of mercy and compassion, as if they had never gone into exile. Judah is described as God’s “majestic warhorse” in battle, suggesting a position of strength and honor.
