Jerusalem Without Walls, God being a Wall of Fire around Her
Introduction
In this session, we will examine Zechariah 2:1-13, the third vision Zechariah saw in the night. It was a vision of a man with a measuring line trying to measure the city’s width and length, but he was told not to. God promised that Jerusalem would be a city inhabited without walls, that God would be a wall of fire around her, and that God would be glory in her midst. This vision would be partially fulfilled when they returned under Ezra and Nehemiah and would be fully fulfilled when God creates a new heaven and a new earth in Revelation 21:1-3, 21-27.
