In this session, 1 Thessalonians chapter 3:1-13, we will focus on different alternatives people take when they encounter obstacles, and we view our spiritual children when they are in trouble

- Described how Paul viewed his spiritual children, which promoted his right response even when Satan blocked his way

Connecting
- Gather with two or more people for a community discovery bible study session.
- Start with a heartfelt prayer, inviting God to guide and bless your understanding.
- Explore the passage by reading it at least twice, using different Bible versions if available, then retell the story together as a group.

- How did Satan block Paul’s way in his attempt to visit the persecuted Thessalonian church? 1 Thessalonians 2:18.. but Satan prevented us..
- Imagine walking to a desired destination to see your lovely relatives (children, wife, husband, siblings, or parents) who are crying and being tortured for their faith in Christ? Imagine again Satan blocking your way? What four ( 4) options would you take? (Three are wrong, only one is right)

- Read 1 Thess 3: 1-5. What key points are revealed about representation by Timothy? What were the qualities of Timothy as a representative? Why did Paul send him?
- What do you understand by this phrase, to strengthen their faith not to be unsettled by the trials… 1 Thess 3:2-3.
- Read 1 Thessalonians 3: 6-10. Describe in 4 words Timothy’s encouraging report of the Thessalonians’ Faith and Love and Paul’s joy?
- Read 1 Thess 3: 11-13. List 3 joyful declarations Paul made to his persecuted spiritual children.

- Revived by Faith: Lives now standing firm; thanks God for joy before Him; night/day prays exceedingly to see them, supply faith lacks.
- Prayer for Return and Growth: God/Jesus direct way back; increase/overflow love for one another/all, as Paul’s for them; establish blameless in holiness before God at Jesus’ coming with saints.
Application
- Discern hindrances through prayer; send encouragers to strengthen faith in trials; pray for love overflow, blameless hearts awaiting Christ’s return.
