What John saw, heard, and reported about Jesus
Introduction
In this session Revelation Chapter 1: 1-9 we focus on understanding the revelation from Jesus which God gave him to show his persecuted servants the events that must soon take place. Jesus sent an angel to present this revelation to his servant John. John saw this revelation in three dimensions, namely: the thing which had already taken place, meaning, the death, Resurrection and ascension of the glorified Jesus Christ, then the things that were happening to his bride, the church and the things which would soon take place both in heaven and on earth. Rev 1:19.
Objectives
By the end of this session, the learner will have:
- Understood the Revelation of glorified Jesus to the persecuted John by defining himself, his Angels and his church.
- Appreciated the three -fold blessing to the Church receiving the revelation during Persecution by listing them from the verses provided
- Described the vision from Jesus about himself by listing all the parts of the body given (Head, eyes, mouth, hand, feet, voice, )
- Appreciated the results of hearing and seeing Jesus to suffering believers by listing the right response and inappropriate response.
