Introduction
In this session, Ezra 7: 1-10, we focus on understanding Ezra, who led the second group of exiles returning to Jerusalem 57 years after the temple was completed and dedicated. Ezra’s genealogy traces back to the first priest of Israel, Aaron.

- Ezra 7: 1-5. Which tribe was Ezra from? How many generations are listed for Ezra?
- Ezra 7: 6-10. What does these verses reveal about Ezra’s relationship to the law of God? Who else accompanied Ezra in these verses?
- How long was the journey from Babylon to Jerusalem? Verse 9.
