The NextGen Courage to Stand Alone Under Pressure
Introduction
In this session on Daniel 3:8-18, we focus on NextGen courage to stand alone under pressure to conform. While the crowd bows, three young Hebrew men remain standing. Accused by envious astrologers and confronted by a furious king, they refuse a second chance to bow. Their response reveals a profound faith that values obedience to God over personal survival.

Comprehending
- Read Daniel 3:8-12: What is revealed about the astrologers’ malicious accusations against the Jews? When doing the right thing, what might make you a target for criticism or jealousy? How do you handle it? How would you support the NextGen who are targets of criticism when doing the right thing?
- Read Daniel 3:15: Nebuchadnezzar asks, “What god will be able to rescue you from my hand?” How does this reveal the true battle at stake?
- Read Daniel 3:16-18: The men declare that God can save them, but “even if he does not,” they still won’t bow. What does an “even if” kind of faith look like in everyday life?
