Group Study Time
Daniel 3: 1-7
Connecting
- Gather with two or more people for a community discovery bible study session.
- Start with a heartfelt prayer, inviting God to guide and bless your understanding.
- Explore the passage by reading it at least twice, using different Bible versions if available, then retell the story together as a group.
- Reflect and share the challenges and blessings you experienced from the previous study.
Comprehending
- Read Daniel 3:1-3. What does dedication mean? Why and how do we dedicate our children and other things, and to whom? Nebuchadnezzar gathered all the political leaders for the dedication. Why do you think he made this a massive, mandatory public event?
- Read Daniel 3:4-6. What is disobedience? The penalty for disobedience was immediate death in a fiery furnace. What are the “furnaces” (consequences) people fear today if they don’t conform to society’s standards?
- Read Daniel 3:7: The text says “all the peoples” fell down and worshiped. How does crowd mentality make it harder to stand up for what is right?
