Introduction
In this session, Luke 20:19-40. Jesus the Lamb 🐑 of God that takes away the sins of the world presented himself to the priests to be inspected for blemish. They examined him regarding his relationship with God the Father and proved that he was the Son of God. They also examined him regarding his relationship with the government of Rome. He passed the test by showing that all authority ultimately comes from God the Father but is given to agents here on earth. He then said, through a question about paying taxes, that we have two main authorities: the government of the day and the government of heaven. The government possesses wealth through transfers (currency) from one person to another, while God owns by creating. Afterward, the Sadducees inspected Jesus, the Lamb of God, about his relationship to resurrection and the age to come, and he showed them that he is the resurrection and the life.
