Living to please God
Introduction
In this session, 1 Thessalonians chapter 4: 1-12, we will reflect more about living to please God by being sanctified, not taking advantage of other members, by avoiding sexual immortality, and by working with your own hands
Objectives
By the end of this session, the learner will have:
- Reflected on living to please God
- Reflected on the 10 commandments about loving God and loving your neighbor in an evil world
- Appreciated the need to work hard in an evil world.

Group Study Time
1 Thessalonians 4: 1-12
Connecting
- Gather with two or more people for a community discovery bible study session.
- Start with a heartfelt prayer, inviting God to guide and bless your understanding.
- Explore the passage by reading it at least twice, using different Bible versions if available, then retell the story together as a group.
- Reflect and share the challenges and blessings you experienced from the previous study.

- Read 1 Thess. 4: 3-10. What truth is revealed about loving one another? List 4.
- Read 4:11-12. What advice can we get about working hard in an evil world?

- Engage with the Bible—read, study, memorize, meditate, pray, listen, and live it out.
- List three lessons you have learnt as an agent of change that you would like to put into practice and teach others about.
