Introduction
In this session, John 2:12-25, we explore how Jesus clearing the temple led the disciples to connect the events with what had been written about Him, and how it served as a reminder to them after His resurrection. The activities in the temple and the city of Jerusalem sparked two responses from the religious leaders: some were offended, while others were drawn to Jesus.
Objectives
By the end of this session, the learner will have:
- Understood how the cleansing of the temple won some souls to Jesus and hardened others.
- Appreciated that Jesus’s miracles offended some religious leaders while attracting others.
