Transformation Begins: Unlearning Misinformation
Introduction
In this session, John 3:1-12, we focus on how Jesus won the soul of a highly educated religious man, Nicodemus, by addressing his most urgent need: being born again. This process of being “born again” is similar to resetting a phone that has been infected with viruses, returning it to its original state. We also explore the purpose of signs, as demonstrated to Nicodemus, showing how they inform, remind, and inspire those seeking to enter the kingdom of God. To interpret these signs effectively, one needs training and education. Jesus patiently educated Nicodemus until he understood the sign of the destruction of the temple and its rebuilding in three days. Additionally, we examine the four “musts” of entering the kingdom of God.
Objectives
By the end of this session, the learner will have:
- Understood how Jesus, our Creator, specializes in the heart-resetting or born-again process by explaining Nicodemus’s ignorance of spiritual matters.
- Appreciated how Jesus won the soul of Nicodemus by explaining the sign of entering the kingdom of God and the four MUSTs of entering the kingdom of God.
