Introduction
In this session, Revelation Chapter 20: 11-15, we focus on the final judgment called the white great throne. This is the end of death, which is the last enemy to be defeated by being thrown into the lake of fire to burn forever. This is the same place where Satan, the Anti-Christ, the false prophet, and those who had the mark of the beast had been thrown. The purpose of tribulation was to prevent man not to ending up in the lake of fire.

The White Throne Final Judgement
Revelation 20: 11-15
Audio Summary
Revelation 20:11-15
Context
- Revelation 20:11-15, after the millennium and Satan’s defeat, describes the final judgment at the great white throne, determining eternal destinies post-tribulation.
- With the church reigning with Christ, this passage warns of the second death for those outside the first resurrection, urging repentance.
The Great White Throne Judgment (Revelation 20:11-15)
- Throne Appears (v. 11): A great white throne emerges with God seated, causing earth and heavens to flee, burned with fire as Peter describes, leaving no place for them.
- Second Resurrection (vv. 12-13): The dead, great and small, excluding those in the first resurrection, stand before the throne. Books recording deeds are opened, and the Book of Life is checked. The sea, death, and Hades yield their dead—those who died without Christ before and during the tribulation—for judgment based on their actions.
- Judgment Executed (vv. 14-15): Death and Hades are thrown into the lake of fire, the second death. Anyone not found in the Book of Life is cast into the lake of fire, facing eternal damnation.
- Human Sinfulness (vv. 12-15): Humanity’s sinful nature, inherited from Adam, persists even in the peaceful millennium, requiring Christ’s salvation. Without choosing Jesus, all face this judgment, as deeds cannot save.
- God’s Mercy: God’s tribulations and millennium aim to save many, offering salvation through Christ’s atonement, which erases sins from the books and writes names in the Book of Life.
Application
- Choose Christ now to have sins forgiven and names written in the Book of Life; share the Gospel to save others from the second death, standing firm in faith.
