Introduction
In this session, Luke 7: 36-50, Jesus compared the hospitable and the mean target audience we serve. As agents of change, we need the grace of God to serve the target audience or people of all kinds. We also focus on developing a mourning attitude.
Objectives
By the end of this session, the learner will have:
- Understood the qualities of a good agent of transformation from the conversation of Jesus Christ
- Understood the qualities and beatitudes of agents of transformation who host Jesus

Connecting
- Gather with two or more people for a community discovery bible study session.
- Start with a heartfelt prayer, inviting God to guide and bless your understanding.
- Explore the passage by reading it at least twice, using different Bible versions if available, then retell the story together as a group.
- Reflect and share the challenges and blessings you experienced from the previous study.
Comprehending
- Read Luke 7: 36-50. List all the characters in this story. What were each person’s roles to Jesus?.
- Read Luke 7: 40- 50. How did Jesus answer the thoughts of Simon? What were Simon’s thoughts? What does this tell you about Jesus’ divinity?
- What is hospitality? What is expected of a host in your culture? List 5 things that show that this woman was a better host to Jesus than Simon?
- Compare this woman with the beatitudes given earlier of the poor, hungry, weeping, and suffering for Jesus. Luke 6:20-23.

- Engage with the Bible—read, study, memorize, meditate, pray, listen, and live it out.
- List three lessons you have learnt as an agent of change that you would like to put into practice and teach others about.
- Take time and worship Jesus with the attributes revealed about Christ.
