Introduction
In this session, Luke 13:22-35. Jesus taught his disciples what happens when the kingdom of God is hijacked by false teachers and leaders, as illustrated through the parable of the mustard seed and yeast. We see the two sides of the coin about repentance, namely: 1. If you don’t repent, you will perish, Luke 13:1-21, and 2. If you repent, you will be saved (Luke 13:22-35). The session will be guided by the question, “Are only a few people who will be saved?”
In answering this important question, Jesus Christ tackles key themes of salvation, such as: if you repent, you will be saved; what it means to be saved; how to be saved; when to be saved; and the consequences of not being willing to be saved.
In Luke 13:22, Jesus showed that the best way to help people judge for themselves what is right is through effective, systematic teaching in both villages and towns.
