Disciples in New wine skin
Introduction
In this session, Luke 6: 27-49, Jesus explains what it means to have new wine (family, fellowship, community) without old wine skins and what it means to have a new family, community, and society without old patches. He dealt with the meaning of Sabbath rest for his people, about loving your enemies, the tree with good or bad fruit 🍓🍑, and the benefit of hearing and obeying his word, new wine.
Objectives

Connecting
- Gather with two or more people for a community discovery bible study session.
- Start with a heartfelt prayer, inviting God to guide and bless your understanding.
- Explore the passage by reading it at least twice, using different Bible versions if available, then retell the story together as a group.
- Reflect and share the challenges and blessings you experienced from the previous study.
Comprehending
- Read Luke 6: 27-30. Who is an enemy? What is the natural thing to do to your enemy? List three things.
- Read Luke 6: 27-36. In the new society Jesus is forming without the old wineskins, what 5 things did Jesus command his followers to do to their enemies? Why should you love your enemies and those ungrateful to you?
- Luke 6: 37-42. In the new community, Jesus is forming without the old wine skins. List three things you should not do to others, and why? List 5 things you should do for others? Why?
- Luke 6: 43- 49. What was revealed about good and bad fruit? What did Jesus say concerning hearing and obeying his word and hearing and not obeying his word? What is the benefit of obedience?
