Introduction
In John 1:41–51, we explore how John the Baptist’s disciples, including Philip, encountered Jesus, experienced His transformative power, and shared Him with those close to them. This session emphasizes the soul winner’s threefold process: encountering, experiencing, and expressing Jesus to others. It also examines the roles in soul winning, including the soul winner, the person to be won, and the influence of culture or past teachings, as well as the role of angels in God’s work of salvation.
Objectives
By the end of this session, the learner will have:
- Understood the soul winner’s threefold transformational learning process (conversion): Encountering Jesus, Experiencing Jesus, Expressing (communicating) Jesus to others
- Understood the assignments of Jesus, the soul winner, and the sower, as well as the role of the soul to be won, the influence of culture or wrong former teachings, and the role of angels.
