Jesus 5th I AM won Grieving and disappointed souls
Introduction
In this session, John 11:17-30. We focus on what happened when Jesus arrived at Martha’s home to the glory of God by raising his brother Lazarus. We learn how to mourn with hope when we know Jesus has control over death by being the resurrection and the life.
Objectives
By the end of this session, the learner will have:

Group Study Time

Connecting
- Gather with two or more people for a community discovery bible study session.
- Start with a heartfelt prayer, inviting God to guide and bless your understanding.
- Explore the passage by reading it at least twice, using different Bible versions if available, then retell the story together as a group.
- Reflect and share the challenges and blessings you experienced from the previous study.
Comprehending
- What is grieving? List the 5 elements in the cycles of grieving. What is the difference between the grieving of a believer and a non-believer?
- Read John 11:17-30. How was Martha’s reaction to the death of his brother in front of Jesus? What did Jesus reveal about death and life after the death of a believer?
- What is comfort? How do you win a soul by comforting others? How did the people comfort Martha and Mary? How did Jesus comfort Martha?

- Engage with the Bible—read, study, memorize, meditate, pray, listen, and live it out.
- List three lessons you have learnt as an agent of change that you would like to put into practice and teach others about.
- Take time and worship Jesus with the attributes revealed about Christ.
