Fatherhood Factors that influence the learners’ sight
Introduction
A father means the source of somebody or something. Fathers beget children with the same image and likeness. In this session, John 8: 28-47, we discover at least three fathers found along this path who either enhance or hinder our pilgrimage and our sight. We will take time to discover the attributes of the three fathers. We will also learn the difference between a non-believer, believer, disciple, and a discipler
Objectives
By the end of this session, the learner will have:
- Understood the difference between non-believer, believer, disciple, and discipler by looking at the verses provided
- Discovered at least three fathers found along this path who either enhanced or hindered our pilgrimage by taking time to discover the attributes of the three fathers.

Connecting
- Gather with two or more people for a community discovery bible study session.
- Start with a heartfelt prayer, inviting God to guide and bless your understanding.
- Explore the passage by reading it at least twice, using different Bible versions if available, then retell the story together as a group.
- Reflect and share the challenges and blessings you experienced from the previous study.
Comprehending
- Read John 8:24-26, 30-38. What is the difference between a non believer, a believer, a disciple, and a discipler ? What’s the difference between a slave and a son and The Son? What is the truth? And what is the purpose of the truth?
- What is the meaning of the word father? List 5 types of fathers you know in life? Why do you need to be under a father or under the Father?
- Read John 8:38 -47 Identify three fathers discussed in these verses? List at least three things, or truths revealed about each of the three fathers?
Committing
- Engage with the Bible—read, study, memorize, meditate, pray, listen, and live it out.
- List three lessons you have learnt as an agent of change that you would like to put into practice and teach others about.
- Take time and worship Jesus with the attributes revealed about Christ.

- Reach out to a new believer—either in person or by phone—and pray with them to support them through their challenges, including any concerns about attending church.
- Create a new group and guide others through this study to help them grow in their understanding.
