Introduction
In this session, Haggai 2:1-9, we will focus on understanding God’s message to Zerubbabel, Joshua, and the remnant of the first generation, who were discouraged when they compared the glory of the original temple built by Solomon with the one they were building through Zerubbabel. God helped them mourn the loss of their original glory, then asked them to be strong, because God promised to be with them through his Spirit. God promised to fill the present and future temple with glory, riches, and peace.
