Introduction
This session on Ezekiel 36:1-15 addresses the mountains of Israel, which were mocked and occupied by surrounding enemy nations after Jerusalem’s fall. God speaks directly to the land, promising to reverse its desolation, remove its shame, and return His exiled people to a fruitful home. Ezekiel 36:16-23 shifts focus to the root cause of Israel’s exile: their defilement of the land through systemic sin. God explains that while their scattering was a just punishment, it caused the surrounding nations to profane His holy name, prompting Him to act out of concern for His own reputation.
