Prepared to handle the stronghold of idol worship and riots during our pilgrimage
Introduction
In this session, Acts 19: 22-41, we focus on understanding how people worship idols and the defense they put up when these idols are destroyed. When the idol worship was dealt with for two years, while Paul taught in Ephesus, the beneficiaries of this trade started a great riot against the WAY. As carriers of good blessings, we must be cautious and prepared to handle the repercussions that come after we destroy the idol worship among the pagans
Objectives
By the end of this session, the learner will have:
- Identified how the stronghold of the worship of goddess Artemis was crushed and grounded in Ephesus
- Been cautioned against the counterattack from the beneficiaries of goddess worship
- encouraged to know that the strongholds of the city will be broken

- Gather with two or more people for a community discovery bible study session.

- As fishers of men, we encounter 5 agents (drivers) of persecution that oppose the advancement of the kingdom of God, which are religious leaders, rulers, relatives, rowdies (gangs or mobs), and rich guys. (from SSTS book). What is common in your area? How does it operate?
- Read Acts 19: 23-41. Which agent of persecution did Paul encounter in the city of Ephesus? Who started the riots? How did it spread to the entire city? What was his case? How was it stopped?
- List all the men mentioned in this session. How was each person involved in this riotous case?
- What lessons do you learn about idol worship as one of the sources of kingdom opposition?
