Outcomes for James
God called Abraham from his home town and send him as a missionary among the nations to be a blessing to them. His descendants, the Jews have been found scattered among the nations for at least four purposes, for the glory God, for the good of the nations, for grounding enemies of the truth and for their own growth. James was half brother to Jesus who believed in Jesus after his death and resurrection.
The book of James was written to minority Jewish believers scattered among the majority non believers. Their Love for Jesus was growing cold because of they faced Persecutions from the nations, false teaching, they felt entitled and better than others , they developed compassion fatigue and engaged in fighting among themselves, thereby affecting their missionary assignment to the nations of the world. Pastor James sent his sermons to encourage his scattered minority members of his church to guide them on practical living which include:
- How to stand firm with confidence during trails, and temptations,
- How to serve with compassion,
- How to speak with care,
- How to to submit with broken spirit, and
- How to share resources with concern
