Main Sources of Doubt and Unbelief
Introduction
In Matthew 12:1-23, Jesus continues to confront the religious leaders, particularly about their misunderstandings of the Sabbath and their rigid, legalistic practices. This chapter addresses some of the main sources of doubt and unbelief, such as human attempts to solve problems through religious rituals, self-help, tribal loyalty, and dark-world assistance. It also reveals how Jesus, as the Lord of the Sabbath, offers true rest to weary souls, emphasizing that our help comes only from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.
