Introduction
Ezekiel 45:1–25 outlines the holy allotment of land and the regulations for Israel’s leaders (the princes) in the restored godly community. In this vision, God establishes a sacred district for the sanctuary and the priests, ensures fair economic practices by regulating weights and measures, and defines the ruler’s role in offering specific sacrifices during the sacred feasts. The chapter emphasises that true worship requires social justice, holy order, and honourable leadership.

Group Study Time
Ezekiel 45:1-25
Connecting
- Gather with two or more people for a community discovery bible study session.
- Start with a heartfelt prayer, inviting God to guide and bless your understanding.
- Explore the passage by reading it at least twice, using different Bible versions if available, then retell the story together as a group.
- Reflect and share the challenges and blessings you experienced from the previous study.
Comprehending
- Read Ezekiel 45:1–6. What do you discover about setting apart the sacred space? In verses 1–5, God commands that a specific portion of the land be set aside as a “holy district” for the sanctuary and the priests. How does dedicating physical space or specific times to God today help us maintain a sense of His holiness in our daily lives?
- Read Ezekiel 45:7-8. The prince is given his own land so that he “will no longer oppress my people.” Why is economic security for leaders important in preventing corruption, and how can modern leaders guard against greed?
- Read Ezekiel 45:9-12. What do these verses reveal about honest scales? In these verses, God explicitly commands the rulers to renounce violence and destruction, practice justice, and use accurate weights and measures. Why does God link spiritual holiness so closely to economic honesty and social justice?
- Read Ezekiel 45:13–17. What does this passage reveal about the leader’s role in worship? In verses 13–17, outline the contributions the people make to the prince so that he can provide the offerings for the national feasts. What does this teach us about the role of community leadership in fostering corporate worship and spiritual devotion?
- Read Ezekiel 45:18-25 and detail the rituals for cleansing the sanctuary and for celebrating the Passover and the Feast of Tabernacles. Why is it important for a community of faith to regularly participate in rituals of cleansing and remembrance?
