The Final Plague, Eternal Worship, and Holiness When Jesus Returns
Introduction
In this session, Zechariah 14:15-21 describes three more dramatic events of the “Day of the Lord,” in which the Lord Jesus will attack the nations with plagues because they attacked Jerusalem. All nations will worship the Lord; failure to do so will result in not receiving rain. The universal holiness will be restored when Jesus returns.
Objectives
By the end of this session, the learner will have:
- Understood about the final plague the lord will use against the nations that fought Jerusalem?
- Appreciated to know the connection between worshiping the Lord and receiving the rain
- Understood about the restoration of Holiness when Jesus comes again?

Connecting
- Gather with two or more people for a community discovery bible study session.
- Start with a heartfelt prayer, inviting God to guide and bless your understanding.
- Explore the passage by reading it at least twice, using different Bible versions if available, then retell the story together as a group.
- Reflect and share the challenges and blessings you experienced from the previous study.
Comprehending
- Read Zechariah 14:12-15. What is a plague? What does it say about the final plague the Lord will use to destroy the nations at His second coming?
- Read Zechariah 14:16-19. What is revealed about universal worship of the Lord by nations and the getting of rain on that day? What is the Feast of Booths (Tabernacles)?
- Read Zechariah 14:20-21. What is the meaning of holiness? What is revealed about the restoration of holiness after Jesus’ return at the second coming? What is the meaning of the phrase “Holy to the LORD”?
