Introduction
In this session, Luke 24::1-12, we focus on why the enemies of the cross of Jesus refuted His death, His burial, and His resurrection. We will identify the proof we would give the enemies of the cross that Jesus is risen, according to the written word, according to Jesus’ own predictions and testimonies from the eyewitnesses on the empty tomb. The challenge is how prepared we are to defend these events as true in these last days?
This previous session looked at three of the most important events of Jesus on earth, which marked the setting free of humanity. These events are his crucifixion, his death, and his burial. In this session, we look at another very important event of Jesus for setting humanity free from sin. This event is Jesus’ Victory over death through the resurrection from the dead.
Objectives
By the end of this session, the learner will have:
- Confirmed that Jesus resurrected from the dead in line with the prophecy given, his own predictions, and the actual proofs of resurrection from eyewitnesses.
- Been challenged that even after the three witnesses, believers and non-believers still fail to accept the truth that Jesus is alive (Why)?
