Repentance from wrong association and wrong leadership
Introduction
In this session, Luke 15:1-10. We discover what keeps us away from the table of the LORD, namely, the wall of hostility of racism. The wall of hostility that kept us apart from each other has been broken by the death of Christ. Here, Jesus used three stories to illustrate and explain what kills and loses people from the table of the LORD. He further explains how each lost or deceased family member is brought back to the table.
Objectives
By the end of this session, the learner will have:
- Understood the truth about being lost and found at the table of the Lord, by looking at the two stories of the lost sheep and the coin.
- Reflected on his responsibilities towards the lost people from the table of the LORD

Group Study Time
Luke 15: 1-10
Connecting
- Gather with two or more people for a community discovery bible study session.
- Start with a heartfelt prayer, inviting God to guide and bless your understanding.
- Explore the passage by reading it at least twice, using different Bible versions if available, then retell the story together as a group.
- Reflect and share the challenges and blessings you experienced from the previous study.
Comprehending
- Identify the key people mentioned in Luke 15: 1-2? What is said about each of these people? What is the relationship between all the groups? What do you do when notorious sinners come to Jesus, or when they don’t come to Jesus?
- Read Luke 15: 3-7. List 5 truths revealed about the lost sheep and the shepherd. What have you done or not done about the lost souls and sheep from the flock of God?
- Read 15: 8-10. Write down 3 truths about the lost coin and the woman’s responsibility for the lost coin.
- Read Luke 15: 7 and 10. What is said about heaven and the angels when one sinner repents and turns to the table of the Lord?

- List three lessons you have learnt as an agent of change that you would like to put into practice and teach others about.
- Take time and worship Jesus with the attributes revealed about Christ.
