Introduction
In this session, Philippians chapter 2:12-30 we will understand the practical instructions Paul gave that would enable Philippian believers to shine like Bright lights in a world full of perverse people?. Further, we will focus on understanding submission from the model of Timothy and Epaphroditus. The learners are challenged to reflect on what they think or feel about themselves, about God, about Satan, about their mentors, about their mentee, about their peers, about their target audience, and about resources.

- Timothy’s Proven Worth: Proven worth serving gospel like son with father; hopes send after seeing outcome, confident will come soon himself.
- Sending Epaphroditus: Necessary send back brother/co-worker/fellow soldier, their messenger ministering needs; longs for them, distressed they heard ill.
- Epaphroditus’ Illness and Recovery: Ill near death, God merciful sparing sorrow; eagerly send for their gladness, Paul’s less anxiety.
- Honor Such Men: Welcome joyfully, honor because near death for Christ’s work, risking life to complete their service to Paul.
Application
- Work out salvation as God enables; avoid grumbling to shine purely; imitate Timothy’s genuine concern/proven service, Epaphroditus’ risk for Christ; honor sacrificial servants.
