Introduction
In this session, Philippians chapter 1: 12-30, we will understand the overcoming attitude and the power of surrendering to God’s will, whether in life or in death. This overcoming attitude is the secret of living a victorious life in a world of persecution and hardship and of responding to issues biblically and with joy. Being a colony of retired Roman soldiers, Paul used military terms to apply the gospel truth. This chapter discusses the power of a surrendered attitude to the will of God.
Objectives
By the end of this session, the learner will have:

- Understood how to respond to hardship with Joy
- Appreciated the place of thanking your supporters in your hardship
- Known how to continue preaching even in chains, in a state without fear

- Privilege to Suffer: Granted to believe and suffer for Christ, same struggles as Paul’s.
