Introduction
Outcomes for 2nd Thessalonians
The outcome of this letter was the understanding of how Paul corrected a misunderstood message that the day of the lord had already come, and the believers were left behind. This misunderstanding caused hopelessness in the church, which started living uncontrolled lives. Paul wrote the 2nd letter to the church at Thessalonica to correct a misunderstanding that the day of the Lord had come and gone, and that the persecuted church had missed it. Some of the church members had stopped working and became busybodies, losing their vision of living. Paul clarified to them that the day of the Lord was yet to come and therefore they should continue waiting for the Lord’s return. He described in detail what would happen when the day of the Lord comes, the reward to the righteous and punishment to the persecutors.
