Protection from apostasy in the last days
Introduction
In this session, 2 Timothy chapter 3: 10-17, we focus on principles of developing the spirit and heart of boldness to the next generation (emerging leaders) in a hostile environment. Paul described the qualities Timothy was to follow to be protected from apostasy. He pointed out that all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
Objectives
By the end of this session, the learner will have:
- Understood the principles of developing the spirit and heart of boldness of the next generation (emerging leaders) in a hostile environment.
- Listed the evil qualities of people in the last days, which make them terrible times
- Appreciated receiving a biblical view of to last days, self, evil people, your mentor, and scriptures

Connecting
- Gather with two or more people for a community discovery bible study session.
- Start with a heartfelt prayer, inviting God to guide and bless your understanding.
- Explore the passage by reading it at least twice, using different Bible versions if available, then retell the story together as a group.
- Reflect and share the challenges and blessings you experienced from the previous study.

- Read 3: 10-13. List at least 5 truths about the mentor Paul that he revealed to Timothy to help him be victorious in the last days.
- Read 3: 10-14. What truth do you learn in these verses that would prepare a mentor, your mentees, and your target audience for persecution?
- Read 2 Timothy 3: 14-15. What truth did Paul remind Timothy about himself as a way to encourage him to pick up the leadership baton?
- Read 3: 16-17. List 5 truths and purposes about the scriptures
