Introduction
In this session, 2 Timothy chapter 3: 1-9, we focus on principles of developing the spirit and heart of boldness to the next generation (emerging leaders) in a hostile environment. Paul described the characteristics and actions of men which mark the last days as being evil and terrible. He cautioned Timothy to have nothing to do with such people with a form of godliness but who deny the power of God.
Objectives
By the end of this session, the learner will have:

- Gather with two or more people for a community discovery bible study session.
- Start with a heartfelt prayer, inviting God to guide and bless your understanding.
- Explore the passage by reading it at least twice, using different Bible versions if available, then retell the story together as a group.
- Reflect and share the challenges and blessings you experienced from the previous study.
Comprehending
- Read 2 Tim 3: 1. What is God’s truth about the last days, and what should characterize the last days?
- Read 2 Timothy 3: 2-5. Describe at least 5 characteristics of people in the last days that cause the days to be terrible, as taught by Mentor Paul to Mentee Timothy.
- Read 3: 6-9. List 3 evil actions that characterize the people of the last days who deny the truth of God.
Committing
- Engage with the Bible—read, study, memorize, meditate, pray, listen, and live it out.
- List three lessons you have learnt as an agent of change that you would like to put into practice and teach others about.
- Take time and worship Jesus with the attributes revealed about Christ.
