Introduction
In this session, Ephesians chapter 4: 20-32, we will focus on understanding the new community’s role in putting off the old nature and putting on the new nature. This session will provide specific activities and habits the individual believer is expected to put off and then put on with the help of the Holy Spirit. Self is one of the four stakeholders who determine in creation and maintenance of the Unity and maturity of the body of Christ in a corrupt environment. Other stakeholders or interested parties are Christ, the corrupt leaders, and the church workers.
Objectives
By the end of this session, the learner will have:
- Understood the meaning of Unity and maturity of the body of Jesus Christ
- Understood the stakeholders’ ROLES in creating and maintaining the UNITY of the body of Christ in a corrupt environment (stakeholders are interested parties of the believers’ good or evil: Christ, Believers themselves, the corrupt leaders, and the church workers)
- Listed what to put off and what to put on to enable believers in Christ to walk in unity in a corrupt environment

- Eliminate bitterness, rage, brawling, slander, and malice; embrace kindness, compassion, and forgiveness, as God forgave through Christ.
- Purpose: By rejecting the old nature and embracing the new, the church maintains unity and reflects God’s glory in a corrupt world.

- With the Holy Spirit’s help, reject sinful behaviors, adopt Christ-like attitudes, and foster unity through truth, forgiveness, and compassion.
