Introduction
In this session, Revelation chapter 6: 9- 17, we focus on understanding how God deals with those who finally reject him. After the church or the bride of Jesus is taken home, God will judge sin and the Christ-rejecting world by allowing seven seal judgments which represent lawless political leaders, conflict, death, and famine, etc. 1 Thess 5: 9-11 says that God has not appointed wrath or tribulation to the church

The Lamb breaks the seals, judgments P2
Revelation 6: 9-17
Audio Summary
Revelation 6:9-17
- Context:
- John’s vision continues with the opening of the fifth and sixth seals, revealing God’s judgments post-rapture, focusing on the tribulation period where God deals with a Christ-rejecting world.
- The church, as the bride of Christ, is raptured before these judgments, spared from the wrath of the Lamb.
- Fifth Seal: Martyrs’ Cry (Revelation 6:9-11):
- The fifth seal reveals souls under the altar, martyred for their faith and testimony, crying out for God’s justice against their persecutors (v. 9-10).
- They are given white robes and told to rest until the number of martyrs is complete, showing God’s mercy in acknowledging their sacrifice (v. 11).
- Sixth Seal: Cosmic Upheaval (Revelation 6:12-17):
- The sixth seal brings a great earthquake, with the sun turning black, the moon becoming blood-red, stars falling, and mountains vanishing, signaling divine judgment (v. 12-14).
- People, from kings to slaves, hide in caves, fearing the wrath of the Lamb, yet many reject repentance, running from God instead of to Him (v. 15-17).
- Mercy offers salvation to those who turn to Christ, including Jews and a multitude from every nation, during this time of grace amidst judgment.
- Application:
- Trust in God’s promise to spare the church from tribulation; live faithfully, embracing Christ’s call to repentance now to avoid the wrath of the Lamb, and proclaim His salvation, as God’s mercy seeks to gather many through the pain of judgment.
