Introduction
In this session, Revelation chapter 6: 1-8, we focus on understanding how God deals with those who finally reject him. After the church or the bride of Jesus is taken home, God will judge sin and the Christ-rejecting world by allowing seven seal judgments which represent lawless political leaders, conflict, death, and famine, etc. 1 Thess 5: 9-11 says that God has not appointed wrath or tribulation to the church.

The Lamb breaks the seals, judgments P1
Revelation 6: 1-8
Audio Summary
Revelation 6:1-8
- Context:
- John’s vision shifts to the opening of the scroll’s seals post-rapture, amidst heresies denying Jesus’ incarnation, using Luke 15 brothers for Jews/Gentiles.
- Chapter 6 begins the seven seal judgments, God’s wrath on a Christ-rejecting world, with the church raptured beforehand.
- First Seal: False Conqueror (Revelation 6:1-2):
- The Lamb opens the first seal; a living creature says, “Come!” A rider on a white horse with a bow and crown emerges as a conqueror, symbolizing a deceptive political leader or Antichrist figure (v. 1-2).
- Mercy spares the church from this deception.
- Second Seal: War (Revelation 6:3-4):
- The second seal reveals a rider on a red horse, given power to take peace from earth, inciting global conflict and slaughter (v. 3-4).
- Mercy protects the raptured church from this chaos.
- Third Seal: Famine (Revelation 6:5-6):
- The third seal brings a rider on a black horse, holding scales, signaling famine with inflated prices for food, yet sparing oil and wine (v. 5-6).
- Mercy shields the church from this scarcity.
- Fourth Seal: Death (Revelation 6:7-8):
- The fourth seal unleashes a rider on a pale horse, named Death, with Hades following, given authority to kill a fourth of the earth by sword, famine, pestilence, and beasts (v. 7-8).
- Mercy ensures the church’s absence during this judgment.
- Application:
- Trust in the rapture, as God spares His bride from the seal judgments; live faithfully, proclaiming Christ to escape the wrath on a rebellious world—mercy secures the church’s redemption.
