Introduction
In this session, Revelation chapter 4:1-11, Jesus invites his bride, under severe hostility and compromising, to approach the throne of God and be taught by Jesus what goes on there, namely, worship. This session introduces us to the rapture of the church after it was called home. While at home, the church will understand the Truth about worship by listing the principles of worship, functions of worship and forms of worship
Objectives
By the end of this session, the learner will have:
- Appreciated that the church in hostility will be summoned to heaven after her witnessing roles here on earth by connecting the words in Rev 1:19 and Rev 4:1.
- Reflected about glory in heaven by describing the throne in heaven and the one sitting on the throne, and the creatures around the throne, and their roles.
- Understood the Truth about worship dynamics by listing the principles of worship, functions of worship and forms of worship?

Connecting
- Gather with two or more people for a community discovery bible study session.

- What is a throne, or an altar? Describe the one who sits on that throne. What kind of sacrifice do people place on the throne/altar?
- Read Rev 4: 1-2. Explain what John saw and heard in heaven. How was John taken to heaven?
- What is worship (essence of worship);? Why do we worship? (function of worship ) How do we worship? (forms of worship). What is service?, What is the relationship between worship and service?
- Read Rev 4: 1-3. 5-6, Describe the throne and the one sitting on the throne which John saw?
- Read Rev. 4: 4, 10-11. Describe the 24 elders around the throne of God. What is their role in heaven?
- Described the four living creatures at the throne of what are their roles in heaven? Rev 4: 6-8.
